Softball Instructors:

Christy Vuono Vetere -
Christy has been giving private softball lessons and conducting clinics for over 11
years.  She is a former 1st Team All-State, All-County, All-Area, All-Conference
pitcher for Morris Hills in Rockaway.  She holds the school record for wins with
77.  At Morris Hills, her and her team won the Morris County Championship and
the Group 2 State Championship in 1997.  In 1998 and 1999, they won the
Conference Title.  She attended William Paterson University where she received
her BA in English/Writing and received her K-8 education certification.  She is
currently teaching 6th grade Language Arts at Copeland Middle School in
Rockaway Township.  She is also the JV Softball Coach at Villa Walsh Academy
in Morristown since Spring 2004.  Many of Christy's past and present high school
students have been selected to 1st Team All-County, All-Area, and All-Conference
teams.  Many of her students continue to win tournaments during their spring and
summer seasons.

Rachel Millward -
Rachel has been providing softball lessons and participating in clinics for over 10
years. She is a former pitcher who played for Morris Hills in Rockaway. Rachel
received 2nd Team All Conference recognition during her time at Morris Hills.
Rachel has experience in all positions infield and outfield as a Varsity softball
player. While at Morris Hills, her team went on to win the Morris County
Championship and Group II State Championship in 1997. Conference Title was
secured in 1998, respectively. She attended CCM and the College of St. Elizabeth
where she received her AA and BA, her BA being a degree in Psychology. Rachel
holds an MA in Counseling Psychology with a School Counseling Certification
from Centenary College, where she is an Adjunct Professor. She is currently the
Varsity Softball and Soccer Coach at the Academy of St. Elizabeth.

Lauren Stefanchik Nervi-
Lauren is a slapping and bunting specialist.  As a member of the Montclair
Kimberley Academy softball team, she earned 1st team All-American and All-State
honors and was named The Star-Ledger Player of the Year in 2001 after setting
national records for stolen bases.  She moved on to Harvard University where she
earned All-Ivy League honors all four years and was also named to the NFCA
All-Northeast Region team and the Academic All-District team in 2005.  Lauren
holds Harvard's record for career stolen bases (71),while also ranking among the
school's other all-time leaders in on-base percentage (4th, .403), batting (5th, .370),
runs (5th, 94) and hits (5th, 168).  She graduated from Harvard in 2005 with her
BA in environmental science and public policy.  Lauren also just received her
nursing degree.
